Anyway, I am listening to this. Totally loved the song
Merry Christmas everyone & Happy Boxing Day too! Just for the record, I am so jealous of those who are enjoying those Boxing day sales!
This year’s Christmas was a rather mild affair. Don’t have those crazy Christmas parties. As usual, we went for the Midnight Mass in The Church of the Holy Family in Kajang together with my parents. This year, however, the mass had a nice twist to it. Instead of the normal Nativity play that we all see before the mass begins, the priest worked closely with the Catechism children to come up with a interesting plot for the Nativity and he used it for his homily!
The play started off as normal with the angel Gabriel telling Mary the news of her conception, then, out of nowhere, three bandits appeared and Mary started running off to Joseph. But Joseph was alone and couldn’t fend off the three, therefore, both Mary and him were running. Rather hilarious really. Out of a sudden, two of them fell into the well and ended up in Kajang, 2000 years later!!:) Of course the story from then on took place there, but had very strong reference back to the biblical story. Very interesting concept!
Next morning, we had a family lunch together with my brothers and my parents. I made my mock Mojito to enjoy since I am allergic to alcohol and didn’t want to risk having the allergy now since my skin is still recovering from the chicken episode! Yee Keong was telling me, “Oi, make la Sangria.. we have all the fruits and red wine wut… what’s this mock Mojito pulak? ” Anyway, I totally ignored that request!
For Christmas dinner, we joined Alex’s clan. Alex’s got a huge family and they made lots of food. On top of that, it was also one of the cousin’s birthday, so the aunties each brought a cake. So we ended up with 3 cakes. We had chocolate cheese cake, mango cheese cake and one more unidentified cake!! Since it’s Christmas, what the heck, just eat. Work those pounds off later!! ![]()
Since yesterday was a public holiday, I went to colour my hair back to black. Enough of the brownish tone. Although I enjoyed the period of being a brunette, but raven hair rocks!! kakaka
Besides the colour, I now sport a very cute fringe just like those little young adolescents from Taiwan!
This is a bit sad when you try to look young. Signs of aging! Sigh!
I confess. I was a huge Spice Girls fan back in the 90s. Really enjoyed their rather silly but yet catchy tunes. Heck, they are the biggest selling girl pop group!
Anyway, when they annouced that they were doing a comeback tour, I was a little bit excited but not very since I know that there is no way I am going to their concert. Although I am not that old yet, but then I do not really fancy seing myself as one of those fellas who are all grown up and going for a concert by a band who’s hey day was during the teenage years and pretend to be an adolescent still!! (ok-lah, gross exaggeration! Somehow the Music & Lyrics scene with Kristen Johnston lugging herself forward to touch Hugh Grant keeps flashing in my mind right now!)
Their newest release, Headlines (Friendship Never Ends) is not such a hot single after all. The video clip is slightly trashy in my opinion even. A group of middle aged ladies trying to prove that they are still hot after giving birth and suffering legal tug-of-war sagas.

Despite it all, I still like listening to their previous hits!
This is my favourite!
I’m finally going to work now after 2 weeks of having a taste of what unemployment feels like!
Anyway, I really managed to get some things done while I was on the long MC. Managed to finish off my Economics assignment and handed that in on Friday itself although it’s only due today! Was thinking, should not waste time and continue to look at it just because I wanted to make sure. No point driving all the way to town just to hand it in today.
Besides that, I practically just lazed around. The usual sleep, eat, sleep. It was a nice kind of life. Someone to cook for me some more! Was staying with my parents during the MC
For the past three days I was back to our own house. Alex went to work on Friday and I was all alone at home. Since the house was filthy, I started cleaning the house up, washed all the laundry that was there before I left. Had a taste of what it is like being a housewife. It’ll be great if I am able to do that only for 2 days out of that 5 day week. I don’t think I can stand being at home all the 5 working days.
Enough of blogging already. Have to at least acheive something on my first day of work!
Well, the condition did improve a bit. At least is not as ‘fiery’ as it was in the beginning of the infection!
Anyway, a major part of pox marks appeared on the face and all over my scalp. So that was the biggest bummer of them all!!! Thankfully, these are beginning to fade away.
The biggest marks are on my back. About 4-5 gigantic ones are still not showing signs of it drying up. Probably due to its size, it takes a much longer period. My trunk has about 3 huge ones and the rest are probably tiny ones. At least I would like to think of them as small ones.
So far, my diet is terrible. It’s practically the same food each day. Earlier I was drinking coconut water and munching on water chestnuts. But now it seems that I am in the ‘drying’ stage, I should steer clear of all the ‘cooling’ foods. So my diet is bland and bland-er!!
Alex better bring me to makan some obscenely flavourful food when I get well!!
Can you believe it? I’m getting chicken pox at my ripe old age…
Might be slower in posting stuff!
