Seriously, I bet many of us have been receiving those spam emails stating that there is this rich fella who died and now his wealth is transferred to his only living heir i.e. his nephew who is writing a love letter to you to help him in his bid to claim inheritance. Lo and behold, in order for him to claim the aforesaid inheritance he needs to have X amount of money to process it.

This is the gullible part begins. Despite numerous warnings from authorities, you’ll be surprised how many professionals will fall for this. These professionals are university graduates and working for quite some time. And making the headlines in today’s newspaper is “Black Money”

In the first place, when these folks promises you that you’ll be able to get a chunk of the money that you help ‘wash’ (gives a new meaning to money laundering doesn’t it? Then you will ask yourself, isn’t what you’re doing is illegal? Greed is reallythat blinding sometimes! Sheesh!

It is just so hard to resist the temptation of just picking up items!!! We have sales for everything; clothes, shoes, even FURNITURE!

Malaysia is really a unique country when it comes to this word: SALES.  Previously, under dunno-who-dunno-what-ministry, that fella decided that we need a little boost in economy, therefore we should have this MEGA -SALEs three times a year. So everybody was happily shopping and spending money to spur the economy. Then again, under the same party but dunno-who-in-a-dunno-what-ministry decided that that policy was not applicable anymore. He decided to orchestra a SUPER-DUPER-MEGA sale only ONE time a year! In a bid to make this a ‘pretigious’ shopping period?

Now, the world is again suffering its worst depression in this century, you can sale those little placards with words like SALES 50%, best buys, lowest price sprouting like little mushrooms after a drizzle. Although I do still see the malls being filled with people but somehow folks with shopping bags walking around seem to have reduced.

I want a room exactly like this one!!!

Isn’t it just amazing? Too bad Alex and I can only do abstract art a.k.a. splash-on-walls.

At least that is what I think when it comes to my latest purchase.

Bought this little baby over the weekend. Totally in love with it.

I must admit, I wasn’t that ‘rajin’ in terms of going to the gym to do yoga lately. Partly due to the fact that they changed all my favourite instructors and had new ones coming in and these new ones aren’t nearly as good looking!. Anyway, since I have gotten past that, I finally have been going to my yoga classes quite often again. And boy, after just going to the gym to do the stairmasters and the cardiowave machines mostly, my whole body was protesting with all the stretching and the bending and the what-nots that it is subjected to. Thankfully, I am still able to get into those positions without having to look like my whole head is going to explode!

Anyway, the lesson learnt is that BE CONSISTENT!

side talk: finally I have some respect for Koh Tsu Koon. At least after having his picture torn up by some hooligan, he is threatening UMNO! whoohooo!!!!

and no, I’ve not been shopping online again. This parcel was due to the fact the nice little lady made a slight mistake in sending me the cats eyes which I wanted so she made that a gift and send this again.

Things at work has been slightly chaotic. My boss for the past one and half years has resigned to join back his former company and because that former company is a competitor (which I don’t see why, we are really in different business segment) he had to leave within 24 hours of his resignation. So such sudden departure has cause quite a stir among the engineering communities (yes, it is plural) here. Many were whispering down the hallways why the short notice? Has he done anything wrong? Even when the Vice President resigned there isn’t a 24 hour pack up order! Come to think of it, even when the CEO left, it was for a longer period of notice. Anyway, the direction came from HR director so it is to be obeyed.

Besides the chaotic situation at work,  I have a major exam coming in less than a fortnight’s time. Time is jealous of me. just cannot find the will power to even continue on a study marathon. My attention span’s the same of that with a 9-year old. Alex has been scolding me (for my own good) to just keep at it. Let’s face it, I am no scholar material but I also know that if I don’t find my will power soon, I could jolly well be facing getting an ‘F’ for this subject!!! Boo hoo!!!
