First Ante-Natal Class

Monday, December 7th, 2009

Had the 1st of the 4 ante natal class I’ve signed up. Rather tiring session. The first 2.5 hours were mainly classroom learning type of session with the final 30 mins we learnt how to do some light exercises for preggies.

Probably due to the fact that my mother is a trained midwife, most of what the instructor wanted to teach,  I have already some knowledge on that thus making the class slightly on the boring side for me. But of course there are still new things to learn, as always.  More on the people management side, I guess. All in all, the session was enjoyable but tiring. Look forward to the rest of the 3 sessions.

Text & E-mailling Etiquette

Friday, June 12th, 2009

Truthfully, it did not really occur to me how important this thing really is. But when recently my manager announced that for all our staff meetings no one should be answering phone calls within the room and also a recent episode where the GM chided a senior staff about talking in HIS meeting, then only I realized technology has weaved itself into our lives more than we know it.

Since it is an integral part of our lives, how we deal with it also requires some sort of etiquette or rather guidelines if you will. While reading the news this morning, I can see that many folks are struggling to deal with this. This piece of news, Bad Blackberry manners can be costly a lot of corporations are really taking very seriously how their staff use this technology.

p/s: but secretly, folks talking/texting on their mobiles during meetings pisses me a bit as well… lol

Can’t wait for the hols!

Wednesday, May 6th, 2009

It really has been quite some time that I cannot wait for the semester break to come!  Since I’ve started the post-graduate, never had I felt like giving it up. The past semester really pushed me to my limits. With the number of non-cooperating teammates and the demands of difficult subjects coupled together do pack quite a punch. Anyway, all I can think of is now ways to get through  the exam, (all the assignments are finished, Thank God! ) and start my knitting and baking and cooking and all the things I want to do. Wonder if the one month long break is long enough!!

p/s: sorry, the review on the not-so-new toy cannot be done at the moment because camera’s with Mom and she’s holidaying in iFantabulous-Land and Kambing-land!

The price to pay for absent-mindness …

is the inconvenience of losing your cell phone!!!

Nowadays, the cell phone is like part of your clothes, without it, you feel so naked!  I just left my cellphone in my office toilet that is within a restricted area (to enter you either ring the bell or have the access card) and yet, it was gone!! Boohoo!!

Downside: lose phone with contacts and precious sms.. not as detrimental as Edison Chen’s case since I have no whatsoever fetish that he has about becoming an onscreen persona

Upside: Hubby says he’ll buy me a replacement phone of my choice…. kekeke…
